Make a Fillable PDF Form Automatically
Turn a plain form with dotted fill-in lines into a PDF people can type into in Adobe Reader or Chrome.
Many forms are still PDFs with dotted lines meant for handwriting. This tool finds those dotted lines on every page and embeds real form fields (AcroForm) in their place, so you don't have to draw each field by hand. The fields follow the standard format and can be filled in Adobe, Chrome, Edge, and mobile apps.

Fillable form vs. typing over the page
When people need to complete a paper-style form on a computer, they often type text over each line. That works for a one-off. But if the form is sent to others to fill or filled in again and again, a real fillable form is worth it:
- Recipients can fill it themselves — typing over needs a PDF editor; a fillable form just opens in Adobe or Chrome.
- Text position — typing over means lining up every field yourself; form fields keep text inside a fixed box.
- Editing later — instead of deleting and retyping, click the field and change it like a web form.
- Best for — typing over suits one-time forms; fillable forms suit reusable forms or ones many people will complete.
How fields are detected
The tool looks for dotted lines (.....) on each page. Long solid lines are not treated as fill-in fields. A real field is created at each dotted line's position. Thai text is supported: a Thai font is embedded so characters display correctly.
If your form has no dotted lines — for example, empty table cells or boxes — the tool may not find any fields. In that case, use Edit PDF to type text onto the page, or Fill PDF Form if the file already has form fields.

After creating the form
- Test it yourself first — open the file in Chrome and type in every field to check positions.
- Name the file clearly, e.g. leave-request-fillable.pdf, so recipients know they don't need to print it.
- Add a one-line instruction when you send it — many people don't know a PDF can be filled in. Something like "Open the file and type in the fields — no need to print."
- When completed forms come back and you need to keep them unchanged, use Flatten PDF or Protect PDF to restrict permissions.
- If a signature is needed, the person filling it can use Sign PDF on the same site.

How is this different from the Edit PDF tool?
With Edit PDF, you fill in the document yourself and save the result. This tool creates a blank form file with real fields embedded, which other people can fill in as many times as they need.
What if my document has no dotted lines?
Detection relies mainly on dotted lines. If the document uses solid lines or tables, fields may not be found. Use the Edit PDF tool instead.
