When to use it
- Scanning with an automatic document feeder — some machines pull in the bottom sheet first, so the file starts with the last page.
- Photographing documents with your phone — if you start shooting from the top of a face-down stack, the whole set ends up in reverse once converted to PDF.
- Preparing a file for printing — some printers output pages face up, so the stack comes out back to front. Printing from a reversed file gives you a stack in the right order.
How it works
All the original pages are rearranged from last to first: a 5-page file ordered 1-2-3-4-5 becomes 5-4-3-2-1. Pages are not converted to images, so text can still be selected, copied, and searched as before. Each page keeps its paper size and rotation.
Limitations to know
- It reverses the whole file only. To move just a few pages, use Organize Pages and drag them into place.
- Double-sided scans where front and back pages are interleaved out of order can't be fixed with this tool — you'll need to reorder them yourself.
- Bookmarks from the original file are not carried over to the new file.
- It works on one file at a time, and the original file is not modified.

Why is my scanned file back to front?
Some scanners feed paper from the bottom of the stack up, which reverses the order. This tool fixes it straight away.
Can I reverse only part of the document?
This tool reverses the whole file. For finer control, use the Organize Pages tool instead.
Does the document quality change?
No. It only swaps the order of the original pages.
Does the file size change?
It stays close to the original, because every original page is reused — nothing is compressed or converted to images.
